EcoSlurps Director Gerwyn Holmes Named Amongst Best Entrepreneurs In Wales

Media Wales have today released the names of their 'top young business and professional men in Wales in 2019' and we are delighted to see our director Gerwyn Holmes recognised on this list. 

The men on the list come from a variety of backgrounds and industries, from food and leisure to tech startups. A list of the leading female entrepreneurs will be released next week. 

Gerwyn Holmes, Director of EcoSlurps said 'Having narrowly missed out on the shortlist for the sexiest Men in Wales - yeah I couldn't believe it either! Today I'm honored to be named alongside so many talented individuals in the WalesOnline 35 Under 35!'

He continued 'Our mission at EcoSlurps is simple, we want to provide customers with sustainable alternatives to single-use plastics at a competitive price'

'Each year in the UK we throw away over 2.5 billion disposable cups and 8.5 billion plastic straws, many of which end up polluting our oceans and having a harmful impact on its inhabitants.

'It's also alarming that close to 40 billion individual plastic utensils are produced each year, and with such low rates of reuse and recycling, most of them end up in our landfills, beaches, and oceans.'

'We are determined to provide alternatives to single-use plastics and disposable products. In time, our aim is to grow a community that can help create a sustainable tomorrow.'
